Using Gildhour
Gildhour is a tool for tracking hours, tips, mileage and expenses, making invoices, and, for companies, recording team punches. Basic is free. Premium and company features are free during early access; if a price applies later, it will be shown before you pay anything. By using Gildhour you agree to these terms.
Your numbers are your call
Gildhour calculates pay, overtime, tax and totals from the rates and rules you set. Overtime, break and tax rules differ by place and by job, so check results against your contract, your employer's records and the law that applies to you. Gildhour is not legal, tax or accounting advice.
Your data and backups
On Basic your data lives only on your device. If you clear your browser data, lose your phone or uninstall the app without a backup, it is gone and we cannot recover it. Premium keeps a synced copy, but a backup file is still wise.
Accounts and passkeys
You are responsible for the devices and accounts that hold your passkey. Tell us and delete the account if you think someone else has access to it.
Companies
A company that uses Gildhour is responsible for using it lawfully: giving employees any notice or getting any consent that monitoring and location laws require, paying people correctly whatever Gildhour shows, and keeping any records the law requires it to keep. Flags such as off-site or location jumped are signals for a person to review, not proof of wrongdoing.
Company owners can delete the company and its records at any time.
SOS is not an emergency service
The SOS button sends an alert to your company's managers through the internet. It does not contact 911 or any emergency service, and it can fail without signal, with notifications turned off, or if no manager sees it. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number first.
Invoices you send
You are responsible for the invoices you create and send, including their accuracy and any tax they need to show.
Fair use
Do not use Gildhour to track anyone without their knowledge, to break the law, or to disrupt the service.
As is
Gildhour is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost earnings, missed alerts or any indirect damages from using it.
Changes
Gildhour will change as it grows, and these terms may too. The current version is always on this page with its date.
